Hayden's Birthday

I can't believe that Hayden is 2 already. It seems like he was just barely born. For his birthday we decided to go to Mesa and play. It was a lot of fun. We got to see my sister and then we did some shopping. Then we went to eat at Amazing Jake's with Mike, Dena, and Lincoln and Lindsay, Todd, and Benjamin. It was so much fun. Tucker and Hayden loved running around playing the games and riding on the rides. They also loved the pizza and the cookies and ice cream. We had a lot of fun hanging out too. We hadn't seen Lindsay and Todd in a long time and we couldn't believe how big Benjamin is now. It was a great day. We got home really late but it was worth the trip.

On Tuesday Tory flew in so we decidced to have dinner that night for Hayden's birthday. We made tostadas and I made an ice cream cake. We got Hayden a game called Cosmic Catch. I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids. Hayden was scared at first and wouldn't touch the ball. It talks and tells you who to pass the ball too and it took him about thirty min. to warm up to it.

Tucker likes to be the center of attention and was in almost every picture I took. He thought that the presents Hayden got were his and played with them more than Hayden did. Luckily Hayden was easy going and didn't really care and wasn't possessive about the toys.

On New Year's Eve we realized that we never took Hayden to Casa for his birthday dinner and fried ice cream. So we decided to go. He didn't freak out like I thought he would when they brought him his Fried Ice Cream and were singing. He just looked at them like what are you doing. It was fun!
